Late Rounders to Compete as Official Selection at 35th Annual Atlanta Film Festival

The hard-hitting film of Executive Producer Benjamin Suarez and Director Evan A. Marshall gives an intimate glimpse inside the pursuit of the NFL's golden ticket. In its 35th year, ATLFF is widely recognized in the industry as the premiere festival in Atlanta, showcasing the world's best new independent feature length and short form cinema. Beginning April 28th, 2011 with festivities running through May 7th, 2011, the Atlanta Film Festival continues its tradition of championing excellence in film.

Late Rounders documents the story of a group of college football stars as they proceed in their journey to make the 53-man roster of an NFL football team. On draft day, fate decides which of these talented players from various backgrounds will see their dreams come true - and which will taste bitter defeat. The candid, touching film features 2010 NFL aspirants Corey Peters, Defensive Tackle, University of Kentucky, Aaron Morgan, Defensive End, University of Louisiana-Monroe, Alfonso Smith, Running Back, University of Kentucky, John Conner, Full back, University of Kentucky, and Ray Fisher, Cornerback/Kick Returner, Indiana University.

The film also explores the roles of HOF Player Representatives Michael Puterbaugh and Greg "Tripp" Linton, two hardworking sports agents who put in their blood, sweat, and tears to propel their clients to the top.

As a Festival, ATLFF is a member of an elite list that can garner Academy Award qualifying status in the categories of Best Live Action Narrative Short and Best Animated Short.
